Building PynnAI and AngelHive
Most people associate me with mobile apps, but for the past 3 months, I’ve been almost entirely focused on building B2B SaaS. I’ve promised to elaborate once I was ready, so here it is—storytime!
Why Diversification?
I’m a big advocate of diversification. This is a common practice in finance, and I think it should also be common in business.
Especially in the mobile space, where we rely entirely on third-party big tech corporations that might destroy our entire business on a whim. I wish it was different, but I’ve seen too many cases like this.
Finding the Right Partner
Last year, I decided to look for someone to partner up with. I figured I had all the necessary tech skills and know-how, and there must be some entrepreneur who has expertise in their domain but needs someone to build their vision.
Randomly, I decided to post on one of the Mallorcan Facebook groups for entrepreneurs. Long story short, a few months later, I partnered with the team at Max Ventures, who work within the investor market and were looking for a CTO to lead their development.
The Project
I said yes. The goal was to build a platform that connects startups with investors via automated AI reports based on data and a set of highly customized prompts.
The funny part? I’m a mobile developer, so I had to learn web development almost entirely from scratch. It’s been an intense 3 months, but I’ve gained a lot of new skills. I can’t imagine doing it so fast without Cursor.
We’re now getting ready to launch an MVP, and I’ll be sharing more about it soon.
Our Goals
- Help investors make decisions easier and faster.
- Help investors discover new startups.
- Help startups secure funding.
- Create a marketplace to connect both.
Moving Forward
I’m still going to build my mobile portfolio, but I’ll need to split my time accordingly. I’m now both bootstrapped and VC-funded.
It’s been a wild ride, and I can’t wait to share more updates with you all!
